Double The Fun
When we got the message from Kaye and John asking us to photograph their twins we were over the moon. Having grown up next to John all our young lives we were honoured that when looking for their newborn photographer they chose us.
Not knowing what sex the babies were we were eagerly waiting for updates so we could buy some matching props and something christmassy with them being December babies.
I'll never forget the call I got when I was standing in the queue waiting to board the Polar Express with the children, it was two GIRLS, sooooooo excited. The announcement could not have been timed any better as I was just placing an order for two matching neutral bonnets (long car journeys for photographers means prop buying). I quickly emailed the vendor and switched the order to girly bonnets.
When Harper and Willow arrived in our studio we were so excited, double the cuteness, double the fun. The session lasted a mammoth four hours and seriously was like a gym session but it was totally worth it, we got lots of poses including individual photos of the girls, props and family photos. John and Kaye were amazing too and are now the proud owners of one of my all time favourite family photos.
We are already looking forward to their free six month session, and wondering if their characters will remain and Kaye is even planning their first birthday cake smash, talk about being organised. We really are honoured to be a part of this little families life, capturing and preserving their favourite memories. Hoping that Kaye and John get some sleep some time soon, seriously though you are both amazing.
